Young People Speak Out And Address the Nation on Day 100 of Biden Administration
On April 30, 2021, young people are making their voices and priorities heard.
WASHINGTON DC, April 30, 2021 — Today, on the 100th day of the Biden-Harris administration, Youth Action Hour premiered their first-ever event Young People Address the Nation.
In a one-hour video special, 30 youth-serving organizations have joined forces to speak out about the key priorities of young people at this pivotal turning point in our country. Young People Address the Nation focuses on analyzing the effectiveness of Biden’s first 100 days from a youth perspective and presents the key priorities of young people across the nation.
The video special showcases more than 30 youth leaders and artists who share their insights and experiences, including around youth engagement across the federal government. The event includes an overview of the Biden administration’s first 100 days and what a post-COVID 19 economic recovery entails. The virtual event ends with a powerful State of the Youth Address featuring a dozen youth leaders who share the state of the union and their hopes across the next year. Music and live storytelling by young people are also be featured.
“Our Young People Address the Nation event showcases the power of matching our organizing efforts with narratives. This is a powerful youth-led, intergenerational, and cross-movement space that elevates and centers diverse young people and the priorities that we’re pushing towards,” said Dillon Bernard, Project Director of Youth Action Hour.

Youth Action Hour is a youth-led monthly video series focused on amplifying the power of youth leaders across the country. Youth Action Hour creates and promotes content at the intersection of education, policy, and advocacy. Youth Action Hour’s April 30th event curates solutions-oriented conversations and perspectives from youth leaders with the goal of primarily engaging BIPOC youth.
